This vegetable derived Tallow is a white solid fat used for a variety of applications including as a release agent for fibrous plaster casting. Consisting of pure palm oil It is a replacement for animal derived fats and comes from sustainable sources. The product is food grade, in fact it can be used as a frying medium. Traditionally it has been the product of choice for fibrous plaster hands and artisans, mixing it with paraffin (around 50:50) by melting. It produces a soft grease that can easily brushed into mould detail. It is particularly good when taking plaster off plaster moulds and difficult to release items.
